About Us

The Omari Mosque of Beirut is located in Beirut’s central district in the heart of the beautiful city. With its unique architecture and ancient history, it has attracted over the years residents seeking guidance from all Lebanese regions and has become one of the most active Mosques in the Middle East.

The Omari Mosque in Beirut, as well as all other Mosques, represent an extension of the first Mosque inhabited by the Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings be upon Him). The aim of the Mosques is to establish a haven for the Muslim community, from youngsters to the elderly, in order to help them succeed in this life and the afterlife while building a strong Islamic character in each individual.

Mosques are also a place for spreading the message of peace, justice and mercy to all the people of the world. People from different faiths are always welcome to explore the Islamic faith and its fundamental principals in the Omari Mosque and any other Mosque.

The Omari Mosque witnesses believers coming five times a day, united in prayer and piety, relying on the Almighty and turning their back on the outside world, their foreheads against the ground, proudly subjected to the Only God.

Praise be to Allah, the Omari Mosque’s community is growing day by day. At the moment, the Mosque embraces around 1,000 families and young dedicated Muslims that have the urge to follow the path of their Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon Him), and look forward for a just and merciful Islamic world thrive.
